Annually, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) releases lists of the most and least pesticide-contaminated produce based on extensive laboratory testing.⠀

"The Dirty Dozen™" is the EWG's list of the most contaminated fruits and vegetables. By simply avoiding them, you can drastically reduce your exposure to pesticides. The idea is that, for you to REDUCE your exposure to pesticides, when you buy these specific vegetables, you better choose ORGANIC whenever possible.

The "The Clean Fifteen ™" list is the list of the 15 least contaminated fruits and vegetables. These are the foods with the least amount of pesticides detected and, therefore, do not need to be purchased in their organic version, if you are concerned about reducing your exposure to pesticides.
